The Recon 3.0 tread and its carbon outsole connects to a fiberglass piece in the front, making the tread flexible in the toe and allowing the foot to function naturally off the bike. And yet this sole provides incredible power transfer with a stiffness index of 10.0. We call this technology Karbon STRIDE Toe Flex. Whether you're flying down the XC course or strolling down the local pub after a ride, STRIDE toe-flex changes the game. We know that braving the terrain usually means venturing into the unknown, so we've given the Recon 3.0 sneakers an XPEL Mesh upper material. It's what makes the tread comfortable, great at shedding water and therefore dries quickly, plus it's the reason this tread is so lightweight. Our SlipNot compound fully covers and protects the carbon rubber outsole, plus it provides great traction on any surface if you're not currently cycling. The large holes between the sole pattern are great for getting rid of mud. Thanks to a dual Dual L6-Snap Boa wheel fastening system and Velcro in the front of the trunks, micro-adjustments are possible to customize the fit for all-day performance and comfort, whether you're just riding a gravel bike, trail-braking on some XC bike, or just out on a bike tour.
