With the Recon 1.0 treads, our goal was simple - to advance the performance inspired by the S-Works Recon treads into an affordable package. That's easy to say, harder to do, either way we've created a trainer with Body Geometry elements of comfort and performance, in a shoe that's primed to succeed in the field. YES! Mission accomplished. Our exclusive STRIDE technology combines fiberglass with TPU material in the forefoot, allowing for natural foot movement off the bike, yet the outsole stiffness remains at an index 6.0, so you don't have to worry about performance. The Tretra Recon 1.0 is a dual challenge: efficient in the pedals, comfortable and confident when walking. To increase the outsole's traction in all conditions, we've coated the nylon outsole with our SlipNote compound. We've also raised the heel slightly so you'll feel really natural when walking. The three velcro strap closure system makes slipping the sneaker on easy, as well as adjusting for all-day performance and comfort, whether you're riding a gravel bike, trail-braking on some XC bike, or just out on a bike tour. With a scientific basis for its functionality, the Body Geometry outsole and insole aim to increase performance and efficiency while reducing the chance of injury by optimizing the line between the hip, knee, and foot. STRIDE toe-flex technology allows for natural off-the-wheel foot movement, despite a stiffness index of 6.0. Our patented SlipNot™ rubber outsole protection provides fabulous traction on any terrain with its pattern. The forefoot cleats are removable.
